Audrey Stewart BS, MAOM, Dipl. O.M., L.Ac.,is a generations deep native of Mathews County. She graduated from Mathews High in 1988, obtained a BS in Clothing and Textiles from Virginia Tech and had her own business for a few years designing and producing casual and formal attire. While at Virgina Tech she began her study of taichi and qigong and continued in the Wu Style tradition as a disciple of Master Li, Li-Qun of Shanghai, until his death in 2012. When she figured out her calling was to help people in a more meaningful way, she moved to Austin, Texas to attend the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA), graduating with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2008. To become a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine, she took four board exams in biomedicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine for national accrediting standards (NCCAOM). In order to practice in Virginia, Audrey became a Licensed Acupuncturist as approved by the Board of Medicine of Virginia.
